A painted fringe cylindrical parfleche made from cowhide and native tanned hide. The outside of the cylinder consists of a repeated motif in the a central diamond is anchored by a stepped triangle. The motif is executed in green, red and yellow pigments and outlined in brown. The top and bottom of the cylinder are accented by black registers with alternating white ovals and circles. The base of the fringe is accented with ochre-dyed fringe. The top lid of the cylinder is accented with blue pigment.
