Crow Miniature Lance Case, 1875 // Ex California Museum Collection
A miniature lance scabbard consists of hide that is beaded with a blue field bisected with a red and yellow line flanked with green diamonds. The shaft of the scabbard consists of incised parfleche trimmed with stroud. Accompanying the lance scabbard is a salesman’s sample sword.
A beaded bag beaded on both sides accented with fringe, hawk bells and an accompanying Stroud cloth strap with black and white trim. The recto side of the bag consists of a central hour-glass form with opposing yellow, blue/green quadrants. The mirror has an accompanying wooden mirror.
