Apache Cylinder, 1890-1910 / Ex Harvey Neilsen

An empty rawhide cylinder, wrapped with native tanned hide and decorated with sinew-sewn beadwork. The outside is fully beaded with seed beads which are secured with a lazy-stitch. The design consists of two registers of yellow/green/red diamonds which are bordered in the same but color scheme. The lid of the cylinder is also fully beaded in the same colors, and accented with a quatrefoil design. The base of the cylinder is fringed.
