A pair of incredibly supple moccasins that are in superb condition. A series of inscriptions on one of the soles indicates that this pair was collected in “Shawnee, Oklah. in 1900” and that the pair was made by a “Cheyenne” artist. This pair has all of the hallmarks of Southern Cheyenne artistry and ingenuity, including classic bead colors, vibrant pigment dying and long heal fringe.
