Tillamook Wallet, 1800-1840 / Ex Gene Quintana, CA / Published

A spiral-woven container, likely constructed from cattail with beargrass and cedar bark overlay. The wallet is decorated with a series of registers with alternating rows of pictorials, including “hands” and zoomorphic quadrupeds known as “helldivers”.
