Ute Saddle Bags, 1875

A pair of saddle bags constructed out of a brain tanned hide, fringed at either side. The bags are beaded with sinew sewn seed beads, consisting of duplicate panels of two outward-facing stepped yellow triangles on a white field. The motif is bisected by a horizontal blue line with two inscribed red crosses. The white is framed by red and blue.
